DK commissioned us to design Fascinating Fungi Colouring Book: Over 75 Natural Wonders to Colour and Explore, a unique title inviting readers to explore the incredible diversity of mushrooms and fungi. Combining mindful creativity with natural history, the book was created for both nature enthusiasts and colouring fans.
Our role
We led the cover and internal design, and worked closely with illustrator Zoë More O’Ferrall to bring the fungi to life on the page.
Celebrating extraordinary natural detail
The book features more than 80 illustrations, ranging from intricate close-ups of mushroom species to full-page forest wonderlands. Our design approach ensures clarity and consistency across the illustrations, while providing an inviting and calming experience for readers.
Impact
Following the success of Fascinating Fungi, the concept has grown into a series, with subsequent titles including Wonderful Wildflowers and Extraordinary Insects. The cohesive design ensures the series is instantly recognisable, while offering a fresh lens on the natural world with each new release.
