
Commissioned by Welbeck Publishing, we were asked to design the gift edition of Bridges of the World by Giancarlo Ascari and Pia Valentinis. The book explores fifty iconic bridges across history, from London’s Tower Bridge and San Francisco’s Golden Gate to ancient stone arches and contemporary feats of engineering.

Our role
We redesigned the cover and refreshed the internal layouts, creating a more premium and giftable edition. Our focus was on elevating the book’s appeal for a broad audience of design enthusiasts, travellers, and readers drawn to architectural stories.
Creative approach
The cover was reimagined with classic typography and special finishes that highlight the book’s celebratory spirit. Internally, we refined the layouts with clean typography and more dynamic pacing, making the content easier to navigate while ensuring the illustrations and photography carried maximum impact.

Impact
The redesigned edition transformed Bridges of the World into a visually engaging and gift-ready book, broadening its appeal and giving it a stronger presence in the illustrated non-fiction market.
